2020 Event

91st WOMEN’S INTER-SCHOOL GOLF CHALLENGE CUP

Has been cancelled for 2020.

This is the first time that the drastic step of cancelling this event has occurred since WWII.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions on golf in Victoria we have cancelled this event for 2020.

The 2021 Event has been secured for Monday 19th April 2021 at  the Commonwealth Golf Club.

EVENT
Twenty-nine teams of past students of member schools compete in an 18-hole stableford event. The number of players from each school is four. Teams are mixed in groups of four players with a shotgun start. Starting holes are allocated in order of receipt of school team entry.

The event is open to players who are past students of a member school and who hold a current GA Handicap (limit 35). The Daily Handicap may be different to the GA Handicap and will be used for scoring against the card. In the event of a tie normal count back procedures will be employed.

On the morning of the event:

  • Check-in by 7.30 am.
  • Briefing on the practice green at 8.00am.
  • Shotgun start at 8.30 a.m.
  • Soft Spikes must be worn.
  • Lunch commences at the end of play.
  • The Committee has full power to alter or vary the conditions of the program if they deem it necessary or desirable.

This is a Charity Event that raises funds to support McAuley Community Services for Women.

McAuley Community Services for Women is changing lives and tackling complex and connected problems. The charity supports women and children who have faced family violence and homelessness to take control of their lives. PROGRAM

All four stableford scores returned by members of each respective old collegians association will be added together and the total will represent the score for that school.

The school with the highest aggregate score shall hold the cup for one year.

Each member of the winning team shall receive a trophy.

Individual trophies awarded in two divisions: GA Handicaps of Scratch – 18, 19 – 35.
